What kind of videos is the Party theme for?

Party is an electric theme for peppy videos.
This theme is ideal to share a lively memory of fun events, or send video invites that will get people hooked! Even the dullest photos will look energetic, dancing on the screen.

What can I do in Party that I can't do in other themes?

In Party you can add custom intro & outro scenes. The Title Intro will show a title with photos flickering quickly in the background. The Credits Outro will show a punchline over your photos. To be able to add the intro or outro scenes, you need to add at least 5 photos to your timeline.
Another feature special to Humble is automated music synchronization, if you're using songs from our Music Lounge.

How can I add text to my video? How long can it be?

There are two ways you can add text to a Humble video. You can either create a Title Slide that will appear on its own, between photos, or you can add a Caption on top of photos.
To add a Title Slide, click on Add More in the top-right corner of the editor.
To add a Caption on top of a photo, video or map: open the menu for that item and selectAdd Text.
In Party, both Captions and Title Slide can show 1 line of text, of about 30 characters max.

My video seems to go too fast or slow, why?

Party synchronizes the transitions between your photos with the rhythm of the music, if you chose one from our Music Library. If you selected classical music or very fast paced music, it can result in videos that feel too fast or slow.
There are three ways you can fix this: set a Custom Duration for each photo, map or Text Slide by double-clicking them, or change the overall Pace of your video, or change the music or upload your own.

How can I change the overall speed of the video?

Party lets you choose the overall speed of your videos by setting how long you want photos to be shown for.
To change the overall pace of your video, click on Project Settings and select a different Pace, you can choose between Slow, Normal and Fast.
If you are using a song from the Music Lounge, Humble will synchronize transitions between your photos with the music you've selected. Photos will be shown for 4 beats of the music in Normal Pace, 3 beats in Fast Pace and 8 beats in Slow Pace.
If you have uploaded your own song, Party will show each photo - or map or Text Slide - for about 3 seconds. You can give your video a faster pace with 2.25 seconds per photo, or a slower pace with 6 seconds per photo.
