Stupeflix Support

Plans and billing

When do you charge me?

Stupeflix asks for a payment when exporting a video to a High Quality, or High Definition full-length version, or when subscribing or renewing a plan. Plan subscribers can make as many videos as they want without paying anything for each video. Plan subscriptions work with monthly or yearly recurring payments.

See http://studio.stupeflix.com/pricing/ for more information.

What payment methods can I use?

When you need to make a payment for a video or a plan, Stupeflix will send you over to Paypal to make the payment. If you don't have a Paypal account, you can still pay with any credit card without having to create a Paypal account (except when subscribing to a plan: Paypal needs an account to set up recurring payments).

Where can I get payment receipts?

Paypal handles all payments and sends you an email receipt every time you make a purchase. You can log on to your Paypal account to find a history of payments and receipts.

How often do I get charged when I have subscribed to a plan?

When subscribing to a plan we setup recurring payments and plans are automatically renewed at the end of each plan period. You can unsubscribe from your plan anytime so your plan will not renew when the current period ends. Personal plans have yearly periods and payments, while Pro and Reseller plans have both monthly and yearly options (See plans and pricing for more information). If you are a plan subscriber, you can find your plan renewal date on your account page.

How do I stop plan payments?

To stop plan payments, go to your account page, locate your plan renewal date and click on Deactivate. This will stop all future scheduled payments for your current plan. You will however keep full benefits of your plan for the period you have already paid for. If you stop plan payments you won't get refunded for the remaining time in the period you have paid the plan for, even if you close your account entirely.

How do I change my plan?

You can change your plan by going to the plans and pricing page. If you are signed in, we'll show available plans and include discounts taking into account what you've already paid for.

Why does it only cost $20 to upgrade from Personal HQ to Personal HD?

If you have already paid for a plan for a year and want to upgrade, we'll adjust the price by crediting you what you've already paid for and haven't already used. For instance, if you've just bought a Personal HQ plan and want to upgrade to Personal HD, you won't have to pay the full $49 for another year: you'll only pay $20 ($49 minus the $29 you already paid). If you've already used your current plan for some time, we'll prorate to credit you what you haven't used.

Can I downgrade to a cheaper plan?

If you have already paid for a plan and haven't fully used it, it doesn't make sense to downgrade to a cheaper plan: you would loose money in the deal. If you really want to downgrade, then deactivate your current plan renewal, and subscribe to a new plan when your current plan has expired.
