What kind of videos is the Scrapbook theme for?

Scrapbook arranges your pictures and videos into a virtual scrapbook, bringing memories back to life. This is a perfect theme to share pictures of a vacation or an event. Add notes and maps to make a travel video!

How can I add text to my video? How long can it be?

There are two ways you can add text to a Scrapbook video. You can either create a Title Slide that will appear on its own, between photos, or you can add a Caption on top of photos.
To add a Title Slide, click on Add More... in the top-right corner of the editor.
In a Title Slide, you can enter a block of text up to about 300 characters long. You can enter up to 6 lines of text.
To add a Caption, roll your mouse pointer over the picture you want to add a text to, click the down pointing arrow that appears and choose the Add Text option.
A Caption in Scrapbook can show 3 to 4 line of text for a total of about 100 characters.

How can I change the overall speed of the video?

Scrapbook lets you choose the overall speed of your videos by setting how long you want photos to be shown for. By default, Scrapbook shows each photo - or map or text slide - for about 5 seconds. You can give your video a faster pace with 3 seconds per photo, or a slower pace with 7 seconds per photo. Here's how to change it: on the right side of the grey bar above your timeline, there's a little icon that looks like a gear wheel. Click it and you'll see the setting for your movie. Under Pace, you can choose between Slow, Normal and Fast. This trick works with all themes.

I was used to a different interface for this theme... What happened? What's going to happen to my old videos?

Scrapbook was one of the first themes available in the Stupeflix Studio. In June 2011, we revamped Scrapbook inside-out to take advantage of our new editing interface. Now with Scrapbook you can access a music library, add maps, custom transitions and more. The scenes and animations were also rebuilt from the ground up. If you have movie projects or exported videos that were created with the previous version of the editor, here's what you need to know:

• exported videos will remain accessible and downloadable within your account indefinitely.
• exported videos can't be opened as a new project anymore.
• movie projects that have not been exported yet can still be opened and exported with the old editor for a few months (summer of 2011) before we delete them completely
